The exhibition, curated by Sandrine Welte in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Berengo Studio, is conceived as an immersive installation made up of about twenty works, all unpublished, which explore the fragility of the human condition through the hypnotic and innovative sculptural practice by Simon Berger. As opposed to traditional blown or modeled glass, the sculptural gesture of the Swiss artist (born in 1976) evokes the act of engraving and sculpting on the glass surface, revealing an alternative approach to glass portraiture, which Berger himself defines as "morphogenesis", and which manages to enhance the infinite expressive potential of a secular material that is still too little explored.
