Alberto Rodríguez Serrano, Sueños de Venezia, 2024
Alberto Rodríguez Serrano, a Spanish artist born in 1988, is the protagonist of a solo exhibition at the Fortuny Museum in Venice. On display, works created with traditional techniques and luminescent paintings activated by visual performances in which darkness and light dialogue. Trained in Madrid and Florence, Serrano combines classical skills with technical innovations that give life to intense and dynamic works. The use of phosphorescent and fluorescent pigments breaks the boundaries of static painting, transforming surfaces into changing visual organisms. Already present in the collections of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Vatican Museums, Serrano offers in Venice a reflection on the identity of the image, between historical memory and sensorial perception. The exhibition, divided into two sections, merges contemplative dimension and spectacle, offering an immersive experience of art in the present time.
